SHOULD WE TAKE NOC OR NOT??????

Hi friends!!

INTERNSHIP: GOLDEN PERIOD OF DOCTOR’S LIFE and this true also. When we pass our final year exams and enter a new era of internship we enter it in a very happy mood. The feeling of becoming a doctor after such an exhausted final year exams is priceless. But at the same point confused also about many important questions and among which one very important question is “SHOULD WE TAKE NOC OR NOT?” and this will be my topic of discussion in this article.

NOC become a very important part of intern’s life in no time. The two things which come in interns mind about NOC is

1. To take NOC and go to college where they will get less work and more time to study for PG

OR

2. To remain in the parent college where they will get more work and less time to study for PG.

Among these options both are worth taking but what really matter is your attitude with which you take these decisions and this decide further things for you.

If you are a person who things that you have to learn some basic skills before becoming a doctor then option 2 is better option for you and if you think that you have ti study this year and will these skill in your PG then option 1 is better for you. This seems to be very simple but very difficult decision to take, trust me!!

Lets see for some positives in both option,

Positives in option 1: a) you will get oriented to outside competitive world.

b) You can utilise your time for studying for next year PG and can give your 100%.

Positives in option 2: a) you will gain confidence in this period and can practice better after

becoming a doctor.

b) you can learn very basic life saving skills during this period.

c) And very important is we always learn my doing mistakes and this is the only period where we can do so.

You cannot get both things in one place because for both things you require 100% dedication and sincere efforts and these things cannot divided.

In this period you will go and ask many people and they will advice you many things but I will say only one thing ‘Do what your hear says and then go for it with 100%’. If you want to study then go and take NOC and make most of it but if you want to learn then stay in your parent institute. If you decide that you have to learns skills then trust me parent institute is the best place to do so because no is going to teach you by holding your hand, we have to learn it by yourself by observing seniors, watching your professors handling difficult situation and asking appropriate questions.

Don’t waste time of internship by partying every night make most use of it for your bright future.

P.S: if I get a chance to convey my esteemed management then I will surely say, if any intern take decision that he/she will stay in parent college and learn skills then please make their job easier by implementing the schedule which is already been there in interns log book about which skills they are mandatory to learn till their internship get over so that there will no regret in their mind that they did not learn anything. I learn many of those but fail to learn them all. But whatever I learn gave me enough confidence as a junior doctor.
